PunkHouse Press presents FAKE NEWS
Tampa, FL (May 2017)— PunkHouse Press Releases Fake News—a zine celebrating underground entertainment!
PunkHouse Press, a new imprint is set to publish and distribute comic books, a not-for- profit Zine “Fake News,” music, fashion, and more.
Their slogan “The NEW Home of the Underground!” encompasses the project’s focus on individuality and expressing oneself creatively, whatever that may be, without judgment.
The company’s first venture, “Fake News,” brings together music reviews, comics, short stories, interviews, and columns where contributors can express their views on any topic without censorship or restriction.
Also on board is famed artist and drummer Brian Walsby, known for his work with the Melvins amongst other bands as well his original cover art for 7 Seconds’ “Walk Together, Rock Together” album, an iconic piece that has surfaced on everything from apparel to skateboards. Issue #1 of “Fake News” will focus on Mr. Walsby’s career as both an artist and musician who has made an impact on the punk culture. PunkHouse Press has also received the rights to re-release the punk icon’s ManChild series along with a new comic coming soon.
PunkHouse is also releasing Martin Dunn and Cori Walters’ punk rock crime comic series, “Wrong Way”.
